Angus Addlesee, Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher studying a PhD in Artificial Intelligence
Angus is currently working to adapt voice assistants (such as Siri, Alexa, etc...) for people with cognitive impairments. As Scotland's population ages and carers face increasing pressures, he hopes to help people live in their own homes longer and more independently. He has deployed Machine Learning models within the Scottish Government, NHS and has now decided to work on a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. Putting Ethics at the centre of Artificial Intelligence should always be a central focus of any project but especially when working with vulnerable groups.
