We have our next MyData Scotland Hub meet-up booked for 6pm-8.30pm on Thursday 14th November at the Tron Pub in Edinburgh. Rough agenda is as below, although the plan is a pretty informal chat where anyone with a specific itch to scratch around their personal data can raise the subject:
6:00pm start time/ drinks
6:30-6:40 MyData Intro for newcomers to the subject
6:40-7:10 Gig economy
7:10-7:35 Data Subject Access Request, how to do them and why
7:35-8:00pm Update from MyData Global Organisation and Conference
Two of the group are not long back from the MyData Global Conference (see https://mydata.org/) in Helsinki where they are 950 or so others spent 3 days deep in discussion across many aspects of personal data protection and empowerment. It’s clear that the organisation is growing up and expanding; there are now local hubs in 24 locations from silicon valley to Sydney. We’ll update on key take aways from the conference in a short talk when we meet up.
