Estonia: Rodeo (Documentary Film) during Global Entrepreneurship Week
Description changed:
Join the League of Entrepreneurs during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) for a special screening of a film on the history of the "First Digital Nation" of Estonia, one of shining stars of the European Union in terms of progressiveness and entrepreneur-friendliness. The film is entitled "Rodeo: Taming a Wild Nation". This film is 77 minutes long, has subtitles in English, and is a documentary by Raimo Jõerand and Kiur Aarma. This film screening will be followed by a Q&A with the Estonian Ambassador to the UK, H.E.Ms Tiina Intelmann.
Please note that this event is NOT organized by the League of Entrepreneurs, rather, we are supporting it as a part of our GEW programming, in recognition for what Estonia has done and will do for entrepreneurs and freelancers from all over the world. GEW just happens to fall during the same week as Estonia Now! in Glasgow. The event is hosted by the University of Glasgow and the Estonian Ministry of Culture and Estonian Embassy in London. Please note that you must register before attending on the event website. Please do so, and know that registering here on this meetup group will not qualify you to attend.
The event is free and you can register here: https://event.bookitbee.com/18767/estonia-now-film-screening
We encourage entrepreneurs from all over Scotland to attend and perhaps join us afterwards for a pub visit.
More about the Film and Event:
"An exclusive screening of the 2018 film documentary Rodeo, set in the years following the first free elections in Estonia since World War II: They have to the surprise of all brought to power young and idealistic political forces. They are led by 32 year old Mart Laar, Europe’s youngest prime minister, who is charged with crafting a country out of chaos.
This is a story about gaining and losing trust, about the widening conflict between idealists and a rising economic elite, when a prime minister’s good options grow fewer by the day. A story of idealists becoming politicians and opponents.
