Where do you start with a machine learning problem? What are good algorithms and what techniques can you use to get good performance? We'll take a look at a Kaggle competition to find out!
This is the third session on this Kaggle problem, so bring your best techniques! Our getting started Kernel is at www.kaggle.com
There's no need to wait for the session - feel free to check it out and start exploring your own solutions now! If you have any problems, we'll be happy to help - either on the day, or on the discussion forum - www.meetup.com
You need: A computer, and if you want to use Kaggle online kernels rather than installing software yourself, you need a Kaggle account. You are not limited to using Python - if any of our many R enthusiasts have time to port the beginner's kernel from Python to R that would be great, and post in the forum if you do!
If you're late - no problem, just come anyway.
It's an opportunity to practise and learn with other machine learning and AI enthusiasts. Let's see how well we can do!
Thanks to Razor and Sheffield Technology Parks for their continued support of Sheffield ML!
