It's the first Sheffield JS of the new year \o/ We have two talks planned for you:
Ian Crowther (@iancrowther) - "Introducing Gitevents"
Gitevent is an open source platform developed to aid event organisers run meetups much efficiently. I want to share with you why it was built, how its built and highlight some of the growing pains experienced during this project.
Katie Fenn (@katie_fenn) - "A Talk About Speaking"
Katie relates about her experiences speaking at user groups and conferences, and offers her advice to people considering speaking for the first time. She will announce a local speaker’s workshop to mentor people who would like to submit proposals for the upcoming Scotland JS conference.
Afterwards, we'll be making the usual trip to the Rutland Arms for more JavaScript socialising. Hope to see you there!
