π FIDO2 β Creating a passwordless future
We all know that passwords are the weakest link in our security ecosystems, and yet we still use them. Back in 2012, the Fast IDentity Online (FIDO) Alliance was founded with a mission to work on a passwordless authentication protocol. In 2019 the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) adopted the FIDO2 core Webauthn protocol as an official web standard. This has made passwordless authentication a reality that can be scaled across the Internet. Come to this session and John Craddock will provide you with a deep-dive understanding of FIDO2 and its associated protocols. You will discover how FIDO2 banishes the weaknesses of passwords and takes secure authentication into the future. You will learn how Microsoft have adopted FIDO2 for Windows 10 and Azure AD.
π An ITPros guide to Open ID Connect, OAuth 2.0 with the V1 and V2 Azure AD endpoints
Along come your developers with a new Open ID Connect / OAuth 2.0 application and they start talking about application IDs, scopes, consent, RESTful APIs, access-tokens, id-tokens, refresh-tokens and session tokens. Are you just going to let them deploy the app into your Azure AD tenant or do you want to understand terminology and functioning of these new protocols?
Learn a new skill-set in just 75 minutes enabling you to understand and discuss Open ID Connect, Oath2.0 protocols and Azure AD application registration with your peers and developers? John Craddock is recognised for his skills in conveying deep-techie content in a highly consumable format, let John help you to bridge the gap between dev and ops. Donβt miss the session or the demos
