In many ways these are the glory days of machine learning. More and more companies are building machine learning capability and every other company statement talks about data being critical to their survival.
There is a downside to this hype and enthusiasm - the need for real, actionable, measurable output. How do you measure the usefulness of machine learning? To me the most obvious answer is - does the business rely on your output?
