Description changed:
Queer Code Scotland is a new meetup bringing together LGBTQ+ people with an interest in technology. We have so far had meetups in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and will be expanding to events in other locations across Scotland in the coming months.
In our first Queer Code Scotland field trip, we'll be visiting the "Hello, Robot." exhibition at the V&A in Dundee, then going to Duke's Corner for food, drink and chat afterwards. If you've already seen the exhibit or can't make it that early, you can opt just to join us in the pub afterwards, from around 4.
Meet at 13.30 next to the V&A logo in the pool outside the entrance. After viewing the robot exhibition, feel free to look around the other galleries. We will then assemble and head to Duke's Corner, which is about half a mile away, near the main University of Dundee Campus.
Entry to the exhibit is £11 full price, £9 concessions if booked online in advance - £1 more on the door. Attendees will also need to cover their own food and drink and transport.
If you're travelling from outside Dundee, the best trains stopping at Dundee are:
11.30 Edinburgh Waverley to Aberdeen (arrives 12.35)
12.02 Edinburgh Waverley to Arbroath (arrives 13.22)
10.45 Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh, change at Haymarket to Aberdeen (arrives 12.35)
11.38 Glasgow Queen Street to Aberdeen (arrives 13.06)
Off peak returns are £30-40, though you can get it cheaper by prebooking singles for specific trains.
You can post on the event if you're offering/looking for a car share.
