What is BioDesign? Come and learn about this successful Stanford University initiative. Over the course of the last fourteen years the BioDesign program has spun-out hundreds of new innovative ventures. Many have gone on to gather resources and grow rapidly, and the programme is closely watched by venture capitalists. It has also expanded globally into countries such as India, and has an outstanding fellowship program. How is the program designed? How does it leverage knowledge and skills across disciplines such as engineering, business, design and medicine? How might Dundee and its universities learn from this model and replicate parts of it to achieve greater performance in economic development from the health care sector?
This seminar is open to all and may be of special interest to BioScientists, Clinicians, Engineers, Students, Designers, Executives, Games Developers and even Animators.
