Virtual Reality gives you an immersive 3D experience, and with Unity3D with its stunning 3D animation capabilities, is one of the best choices for developers to create out-of-the-box Virtual Reality games or applications for different platforms such as, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or Oculus Quest.
This course takes a practical, project-based approach to teach you the basics of Virtual Reality development with the Unity 3D game engine. We walk through a series of hands-on projects, step-by-step tutorials, and in-depth discussions using Unity3D and other free or open source software. While VR technology more mainstream, we'll capture the basic principles and techniques that you can use to make your VR games and applications immersive and comfortable.

To create 3D scenes in Unity 3D, learning scale and space.
Build Interactive environments with Physics, gravity and lighting
Build and run VR applications for headsets such as the HTC Vive, Pro and Oculus Rift
Experiment with user interface techniques in VR.
Gain introductory and some advanced experience in Unity Programming.
Course Content
What is virtual reality?
Types of display, the difference between Virtual and Augmented Reality.
Getting started with Unity the fundamentals.
Build up a scene. Place objects in a virtual room and apply simple interactions.
Build and test your own VR application at the end.
Requirements:
A laptop preloaded with the latest version of Unity 3D which you can download for free.
We will provide the headsets for development.
