Charities and the digital/tech sector each have their own distinct languages, assumptions and knowledge gaps. One of the huge challenges for working together is understanding each other!
This month we're hosting a "fireside chat" with experts from both charity and digital to share their experiences and lessons learned from both sides.
Jacqui Taylor: LifeLink CEO. In order to digitally evolve the charity Jacqui had to learn a whole new language so that she could articulate what it is they wanted and needed as a service and to be able to negotiate contracts.
Maddie Stark: Digital development worker at SCVO. Among many other things Maddie co-facilitates the Senior leader progamme, which gives 3rd sector leaders "the tools and confidence to be the catalyst in your own organisation as well as growing your network to support you on your digital journey".

Gavin Bell: SCVO Milo Programme Manager. Gavin manages 'Milo' database of voluntary organisations, volunteers and opportunities. He support 500 staff across the Third Sector Interface network to get the most out of the system and build up a big picture of the third sector across Scotland. Gavin speaks both tech and third sector language. (Gav in also a published author)

Access: We will be on the top floor and there is a lift. Please note that there is a step at the outside building entrance. Let us know if you would like any assistance with accessing the venue.
Bus: the venue is 5mins walk from any bus stop at the foot of Leith Walk.
Parking: there is some free parking around the venue, but give yourself time to find a spot as it is usually very busy!
