After our last technical meetup, we thought it was time to dive back into something more non-functional for July's meetup! Andrew Shaw has kindly offered to come and deliver his talk 'How to think like a tester" which he has delivered at various other meetups and conferences!
"How to think like a Tester" is a talk about how software testing strategies are useful for testing software, the benefits and limitations of automated testing, and how having a creative and exploratory mindset is useful as a tester. My talk also includes some fun activities for testing software, as well as ways professionals can develop as software testers.
As before, we are back at Sheffield Technology Parks.
The rough running order for the evening will be:
6:30 - Doors open
7:00 - Talk Part 1
7:30 - Break and food
7:45 - Talk Part 2
8:15 - More food and that
8:30 - Head off to a local pub for networking and such.
Thanks again to our sponsor (other than the Minstry of Testing of course); U Account. They'll kindly be providing us with food & drinks again. They're currently recruiting for just about every role you can think of, so if you're interested check them out or collar one of the many SheffTest regulars who work there! https://www.uaccount.uk/careers
As always, if you'd like to sponsor, host or speak at a future event then please do get in touch! And don't forget to keep an eye on the Meetup page or on www.twitter.com/steelbugs for details of upcoming events.
