EdinburghJS is a casual event, presenting short talks and a chance for discussion with other local JavaScripters, whatever your experience or job title is. Our goal is to have an awesome and inclusive community meetup where people meet, hang out together, chat, listen to talks, exchange ideas and make new friends.
We'll be looking for monthly contributors who want to talk about the technologies they're most comfortable with, looking at the pros, cons and unknowns. Drop us a message if you fancy speaking.

Talk - An Intro to Svelte
This month Billy Jones will give a short talk on Svelte, a declarative component framework similar to React and Vue which uses a compiler at the build step to compile the javascript rather than interpret the code at runtime. The talk will cover topics such as an alternative to the virtual DOM, performance improvements and other added benefits of Svelte such as accessibility and scoped styles.
