EdinburghJS is a casual event, presenting short talks and a chance for discussion with other local JavaScripters, whatever your experience or job title is. Our goal is to have an awesome and inclusive community meetup where people meet, hang out together, chat, listen to talks, exchange ideas and make new friends.
We'll be looking for monthly contributors who want to talk about the technologies they're most comfortable with, looking at the pros, cons and unknowns. Drop us a message if you fancy speaking.

This weeks talk will be from Siwei Kang from Trippo.
Trippo - Building an MVP app with React-Native and AWS
Abstract
Trippo is an AI-powered travel app that allows people to capture and organise their visual inspiration with just a screenshot. In this talk, I will tell you about the architecture of Trippo, how we managed to get featured on TechCrunch (https://techcrunch.com/video/trippo-travel-inspiration-using-screenshots/) and Apple App Store without spending a dime on marketing, and some of the mistakes I've made as a solo technical founder.
Bio
I'm the founder/CEO of Trippo, and previously a Senior Software Engineer/Engineer Manager at Skyscanner and Full-Stack Software Engineer at Amazon. I'm looking for more people to join Trippo, so come by and have a chat if you're interested :)
