Introduction to FOSS design tools: Inkscape and FreeCAD
Description changed:
A one off event, providing an introduction to using Inkscape and FreeCAD.
Inkscape is a 2D vector graphics program which can be used to prepare designs and artwork for use many of the machines in the hackspace, including the laser cutter and vinyl cutter.
FreeCAD is a 3D design tool, allowing parts to be created, modified and manipulated in 3D. These parts can then be exported for 3D printing, CNC milling or turned into technical drawings to be used in more traditional manufacturing methods.
