THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED
This timely seminar will be an opportunity to discuss what needs to be put in place to successfully deliver the Creative Industries Sector Deal, recently agreed between the Government and the creative industries as part of the Industrial Strategy.
The agenda focuses on next steps for key elements of the Deal, looking at investment, intellectual property, the talent pipeline and priorities for the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC) being launched by the Arts & Humanities Research Council, and will also assess what is missing from the Deal and how it might evolve in the future.
Sessions will consider the way ahead for attracting and retaining talent, including skills development, career pathways and diversity, and discuss what further support is needed to grow private sector investment and exports, and enable IP holders across the UK to attract backing.
Planned sessions will examine the expected launch of the Creative Industries PEC - considering research priorities and fostering creative clusters, including partnerships with business and higher education - and how the sector can meet the needs of tomorrow’s audience through innovation and collaboration, as well as next steps for policy and championing the creative industries.
