Join the curators of the Fitzwilliam Museum's newly opened Codebreakers and Groundbreakers exhibition as they introduce the show. The exhibition celebrates two remarkable intellectual achievements, the result of teamwork across different areas of study and the brilliance of some beautiful minds: the breaking of the Enigma codes, the most famous of war codes, and the decipherment of the Linear B script, Europe’s oldest readable writing system. This event will be led by the exhibition's three curators Dr Anastasia Christofilopoulou, Dr Yannis Galanakis and Dr James Grime, who will share the stories of the brilliant individuals involved.
Admission is by token, one per person, available at the Courtyard Entrance from 12.45 for the 13.15 talk, and from 14.30 for the 15.00 talk.
(Be early / prompt to get your token, these talks at the Fitzwilliam are always popular. If you miss the introduction the exhibition is free and runs for about 3 months.)
