As a follow-up to our recent Grenfell Tower Support Hackathon, which led to the launch of the Grenfell Support app (Android and iOS), we are running another hack in collaboration with Add Jam, to take forward some new solutions.
We have been in regular contact with a number of the heroic volunteers, who have been providing much needed daily support to those affected. Additional tech solutions would help them improve their operations on the ground by facilitating better communication and collaboration. We are exploring with the volunteers the types of solutions which may be most beneficial, and will share details of these with participants either before or at the start of the event.
We're also exploring ways we can assist more generally (e.g. for those giving advice to those affected), so all ideas and projects are welcome. Feel free to use the discussion board to share any of your own ideas, or links to code or other projects which might be helpful.
Everyone can make a valuable contribution, be that development, research, legal, design, marketing or anything else. You don't need programming skills to get involved, although we do need developers to build the tech.
Feel free to bring a team (please ensure you each sign up individually though, to keep track of numbers) or come along on your own and we will connect you with some friendly Legal Hackers.
We hope to see you there!
A huge thanks to our sponsors, Peloton Communications, Cloch Solicitors, and Encompass Corporation. There will be beer and pizzas thanks to these guys!
