We have a new venue! We also have two regular talks (10-30 minutes) and one lightning talk (5 minutes).
Regular talks:
• Krešimir Linke, Quality Assurance Manager at Repsly Inc: Test automation of push notifications for Ranorex application
Kresimir will show how has Repsly QA team automated tests of push notifications between web and mobile applications using Ranorex solution. The messaging part of Repsly allows users of Repsly Web application (sort of managers) and mobile applications users (sort of field representatives) to communicate with each other using messages/comments in a chat form. Automation tests deal with business rules (who must receive and must not receive notifications/messages), technical side of the story (does it work?) and uses real devices in action (Web, iPhone, Android).
Repsly is a mobile data collection and field management tool that has been focused on providing mobile software solutions for enhancing field activity management since its inception in 2010. Setting out to simplify processes for field teams and their managers, Repsly has customers in over 50+ countries.
Kresimir has 6+ years of experience in manual and automation testing as well as in other 'startup related' areas of work. He has studied History of Art and Information science in hope to work one day in some Art facility, or at least become professional percussionist with his band, but was trapped in a Startup company and works there ever since. A great passion for testing and exceptional customer experience drives him forward.
• Ana Prpic, Quality Assurance Analyst at East Coast Product: Why We Love WebdriverIO and You Should Too
Lightning talks:
• Željko Filipin, Freelance software engineer: Don't Go to Conferences!
We are still looking for several lightning talks. Apply at [masked] or at the meetup.
Repsly Inc is sponsoring food and drinks at the meetup. They are hiring senior tester, by the way.
As always, we will continue the conversation at a nearby pub.
(Details about speakers, topics and pub coming soon.)

• Ana Prpic, Quality Assurance Analyst at East Coast Product: Why We Love WebdriverIO and You Should Too
Ana will be discussing how she uses WebdriverIO and some practical tips on how to get started yourself. WebdriverIO is a simple tool for writing automated checks. Utilizing JavaScript, WebdriverIO allows you to take control of a browser or a mobile app with just a few lines of code. Ana will show some real life examples on how East Coast Product has been using WebdriverIO to ensure quality for their clients.
Ana received her bachelors in physics and masters in computational physics before realizing that her true love was for tech and specifically QA. Since then, Ana taught herself how to code, built up several years of QA experience, and now leads the QA team at Split and Boston based digital product agency, East Coast Product. When she’s not reading about some new QA tool, you can often find Ana cycling around Split, watching Star Trek, or playing PC games. If you are interested in learning more about East Coast Product and Ana, head over to her official employee spotlight.
