Open Forum; members are invited to make announcements, share news, seek project collaborators, promote their IoT events, and request topics for future Meetups.
18.30 - 18.50 Valentin Radu (University of Edinburgh)
The mobile devices we carry in our pockets hold the power to track our every move. By taking advantage of their multitude of sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, barometer, etc.) smartphones can perform diverse user context detections (e.g., indoor localization, activity recognition) reliably. This talk will focus on the positive aspects of having access to these inferences for home/building automation.
18:50 - 19:10 Sérgio Sena (SMRU Instrumentation)
Sérgio will talk about his work in the area of low-power hardware, Biologing, and marine animal borne telemetry. His work focuses on hardware and making sure data collected from remote sensors is transmitted accurately.
19:10 - 19:30 Colin Hickey (Sky Futures)
Description of talk will be added shortly.
19:30 -19:50 DISCUSSION & PANEL Q&A
19:50 - 21:00 NETWORKING & DRINKS
