The Data Lab and MBN Solutions would like to invite you to our first Data Science Meetup in Glasgow on Thursday 2nd of June.
This year, at TEDxGlasgow 2016, their theme seeks to explore ‘A Disruptive World’, considering how individuals and organisations can encourage disruption as a force for good, to make step-changes in your thinking, your actions and in your wider communities. How do we collaborate to force change?
The world of Data is a disruptive force in the market place. This means that people need more than new tools, technologies and skills. They need an open-mind to rethink processes that they have done for a long time and change the way they operate. This is a risky thing. It means people must force themselves to adapt. Also, no one likes feeling like they were wrong before and now need to do something different.
Come along to our Pre-TEDxGlasgow event to see how Data is a Disruptive opportunity rather than a challenge and hear from some Scottish organisations on how they are taking this opportunity and collaborating and leading to realise the value of their data.

This is a group for anyone interested in Data Science, Big Data, Analytics and Technology trends. We started this group to build a community to discuss general insights into the market and share personal experiences of working and operating in this area. We hope to cover skills shortages, technological advancements and organisational implications in Data Science and Technology during our series of meetups. All skill levels are welcome.
