The first meetup of Women in Tech, Scotland will provide a chance to hear from women working in a range of tech roles in Scotland and for discussion on topics, speakers and venues for future events.
The venue is downstairs in Blackfriars Pub, Merchant City in Glasgow City centre.

Sarah is Senior Project Manager with the Urban Big Data Centre, which analyses big data, to support policymakers, businesses and communities develop effective solutions.
Grainne Hamilton, DigitalMe - Open Badges: sharing achievements across the web
Grainne is Programme Director for HE and Adult Learning with DigitalMe, a not-for-profit that is enabling a new skills currency with digital credentials / Open Badges.
Celeste McLaughlin, Jisc - Key trends in technology in education
Celeste is a Learning, Teaching and Assessment Specialist with Jisc, a UK body that supports the use of digital technology in education.

Welcome to all women in tech in Scotland! We are a group of female digital technology professionals getting together to discuss topics in tech, with a focus on advocating for better recognition and opportunities for women working in the technology sector in Scotland. This is a group for women working in all areas of digital technology, from education to software development, media to analytics, start-ups to multinationals - come along for discussion, presentations and networking.
