Big Data 2.0
Big Data 1.0 has been about storage and computing. We are now at the doorstep of Big Data 2.0, it's the time to start focusing on end-user products. Couple this with the context of mobile apps, aging logging infrastructure and a need to measure everything - and you're left with big dreams, many many questions, lots of opportunity and a lot to do. In the talk Akos will focus on the product aspect of big data and how that can create a new level of user experience.
Akos Kapui is Head of Apps Technology at Skyscanner leading the engineering team responsible for native app development. He has almost 10 years of experience in building mobile products and managing engineering teams. Akos previously co-founded a startup, Distinction, which was acquired by Skyscanner in 2014. There he served as CTO responsible for the engineering efforts from mobile apps to operations. He played an active role in shipping high-quality applications that have been downloaded over 70 million times.
