N8 HPC Network Event- Multiscale Computational Mechanics

We would like to invite you to our second N8 HPC Network Event- Multiscale Computational Mechanics to be held on Friday 30th October 2015 at The Sir Frederick Mappin Building, Sheffield.
The network event will focus on the topic of ‘Multiscale Computational Mechanics’ for structural applications, including; bioengineering, materials, tribology, aeronautics, civil engineering and more – allowing for bridges to be made across varying disciplines. A spotlight will be on finite element approaches based on the current usage of the N8 HPC network. The day will also see 3 guest speakers, from backgrounds including biomechanics, aerospace and civil engineering.
The event is free and tickets must be booked by 5pm on 19th October.We would also like to welcome member presentations, including poster and abstract submissions. Please enter your abstract in the text box on the registration form. The deadline for abstract submission is 5pm on 20th September; but you can still register for tickets up until 5pm on 19th October. Please note that you DO NOT have to submit an abstract to register, please put N/A in the abstract box if you want to attend the event without submitting an abstract.
