We are the capital of Scotland’s premier meetup for all things PHP and more. We love talking about all web technologies, including, but not limited to: PHP & JavaScript frameworks / DHTML & AJAX / programming methodologies and design patterns / CMS’s / e-commerce / hosting / scalability / deployment / Relational & Document databases and any other cool web technologies.
edPUG takes place on the third Tuesday of every month. It is free to come along, but we issue electronic tickets via Eventbrite to control the capacity of the venue. Get your ticket early to avoid disappointment! We’ll also email those with a free ticket with a reminder a few days before the event.
We update the Open Tech Calendar with more specific details on the event within a week of the event, so check back regularly.
Follow on twitter @edpug to keep up to date with event announcements. Hope to see you there sometime!
With the eagerly awaited PHP 7 release just around the corner, we thought we'd watch a timely video from PHPConf Taiwan 2015 by Rasmus Lerdorf, the original creator of PHP.
In the video, he covers the colourful 20 year history of PHP, going on to cover the performance improvements of PHP 7.
Come watch it with us with a beer and pizza, and discuss when you will make the move to PHP 7, both personally and commercially.
Hope to see you there!
