There is a belief that HTML is easy, but how true is this? What can we learn from the homepages of major websites? By examining these sites we'll discover common issues that suggest HTML is perhaps not as easy as we'd like to think.

Iain’s talk will introduce the principles of trauma-informed content design using examples from his work on guidance content aimed at kinship carers. He’ll also cover some of the practical tech decisions – both good and bad – that had a direct effect on the user experience for people who have been through trauma.
