Data-driven image dynamic feature extraction for video event detection

Video event detection techniques aim at understanding the “semantic” content, especially the human behaviours from video cameras. The techniques have been widely used for smart homes, healthcare, and surveillance.

Join us on the 15th July at our online seminar to hear from Sheffield Hallam University's Dr. Jing Wang. Jing will demonstrate his previous research on recognising individual activities and dense crowd movement by using image features such as optical flow and Spatio-temporal textures. It has been evident that the proposed method offers an effective and efficient solution for many video content understanding tasks.
