Sheffield Women in Tech (ShfWIT): After COP26: Global Thoughts and Local Actions

We are excited to welcome industry professionals Lauren Barnes and Charlotte Thompson for what a post COP26 world means for Sheffield.

Global Thoughts by Lauren Barnes
Lauren Barnes is a a structural and low carbon delivery engineer in Arup Sheffield’s Structural Engineering team, having joined as a Graduate Engineer after completing her Master’s degree from the University of Sheffield in Architecture and Structural Engineering. Her work involves creating innovative, appropriate, buildable structures for healthcare, school, laboratory and higher education buildings across the Sheffield Region and further afield.

Local Actions by Charlotte Thompson
Charlotte has a BSc in Economics and Masters in Enterprise from the University of Manchester and is part of Arup developing partnerships with innovation leaders to solve sustainability challenges in the built environment. She is also part of Sheffield based tech start up Mobile Power's advisory board providing affordable energy solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
