What did you do last weekend?
Startup Weekend is back in Sheffield! The world's most popular entrepreneurial event has a rich history in the Steel City and is back for another edition this December!
After a 2-year pause we are happy to give the chance to local entprereneurs, developers, designers, business people, students, scientists, artists, moms, dads and anyone else to build a startup in 54 hours!
Safety - the health and safety of our participants, mentors, judges, facilitator and organisers is our top priority. We will work proactively with Techstars, our venue provider and participants to ensure that we're following the latest regulations and guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemic but also making sure that each and every attendee feels comfortable and safe at the event.
Why Startup Weekend - the value one can derive from a Startup Weekend is limitless. As a founder the weekend would give you an opportunity to go through the initial stages of building a business again and may be point out some aspects that you've overlooked or could have done better. As an employee (be it for a startup, SME or large enterprise) you will learn new ways of creating value in a short timespan which can then be useful in your work environment. As a student the event will open up a whole new world of opportunity to you and the concept of startups. But no matter where you are in your life, you will surely get the chance to expand your professional network, to learn practically how are startups built and most importantly - you will have a lot of fun!
