The University of Sheffield: Ideas Bazaar - Festival of the Mind 2022
Description changed:
If you have a passion for engaging with people and want to take part in Festival of the Mind 2022, come along to Ideas Bazaar.
Festival of the Mind was the UK's first academic-city collaboration when it launched nine years ago, a festival of cutting-edge thinking and entertainment.
The Ideas Bazaar event is the foundation of Festival of the Mind and welcomes all academics and creative practitioners who have innovative ideas. Up to £5,000 funding is available for the best ideas to feature in Festival of the Mind 2022.
If you would like to collaborate with someone to help bring research to life then come along to Ideas Bazaar.
If you are unable to attend in person, we will also be running the event online at the same time so it will be possible to discuss your ideas virtually and potentially meet your collaborator online. For any academics looking to attend, we would particularly welcome colleagues who feel public engagement could add real value and impact to their knowledge exchange aims or research project.
Professor Vanessa Toulmin, Director of City and Cultural Engagement will open the event and explain how funding is available to make the best creations happen. The Ideas Bazaar team will be there both in person and online, to ensure you get to talk to potential partners looking for creative collaborations. This is an opportunity to meet academics, artists, filmmakers, writers or maybe a digital creative who could really help to translate our university's research for a public audience.
