Sonia Tate MBE, Race Equality Lead for the Department For Work and Pensions - Sonia has over thirty years of experience in the Civil Service and currently leads on issues of Race Equality for the Department for Work and Pensions. Her role sees her provide advice across the breadth of the UK’s largest government body, and beyond, into the wider communities that DWP serves. In 2015, Sonia was awarded an MBE to recognise the achievements of her outreach work with gangs, and affiliates in Southwark.
