The Future of Work in Scotland: Learning new tools in times of exponential change - Erich R. Bühler

The Future of Work Scotland team are delighted to be bringing you a session with Erich R. Buhler.

The way companies manage change has undergone dramatic shifts, and organisations have tried to adapt to relentless market innovations by using artificial intelligence, Big Data, the Scrum Framework, increasingly connected people, and new mindsets such as Agile or Lean. However all these approaches have only established disruptive change as a new, relentless reality.

New practices, techniques, roles, and organisational structures are needed in order to build companies that can adapt to continuous market disruptions in perpetuity.

How do you help people from all areas of the company to understand what is needed and be flexible enough to feel comfortable with constant change? How do you lower their resistance to new situations and enable them to be open to new ideas, with positive and proactive attitudes toward learning?

In the first part of this groundbreaking session, Erich R. Bühler author of Leading Exponential Change will help you experience what employees feel when exposed to accelerated change to understand why certain widely used Agile practices don’t get the expected results.

In the second part of the session, Bühler explores neuroscience and organizational psychology to help you understand the prerequisites to build a truly adaptable company.
