This event is the first in a series of monthly meetups for people interested in information security. We want to make the meetups as inclusive as possible, so even if you're just starting out in the world of information security please do come along.
These meetups are an opportunity for us to share our successes, our challenges and our lessons learnt. We'll also have speakers from a range of sectors such as academia, government and commercial.
The first meeting (2nd of March) will include:
- An introduction from the Head of Information Security at the University of Sheffield
- A briefing from South Yorkshire Police Digital Investigations team
- A session from John Clark, Professor of Computer and Information Security
- A technical briefing from a member of the University's IT Security Team
- A short workshop to help scope future meetings and terms of reference for the group
The room will open at 17:30 for networking with the event running 18:00-19:30
If you have any questions or would be interested in speaking at a future event then please do get in touch with us, info-security@sheffield.ac.uk
