If you would like to build a website using WordPress, or if you already have a WP site which is having issues, or if you are looking to share your WP knowledge, then this is the gathering to come along to. The idea is that people of all levels of ability can come along, collaborate, and discuss and/or show those aspects of WordPress that are of interest.
This informal get-together is also ideal for anyone who is new to WordPress and looking to find out more. Hear other people share their knowledge and experience, such as:
- how to know if my WP site is successful?
- does security really affect my site?
- tips on making my content (more) engaging
- making my site work for mobile
- recommendations on plugins , SEO, accessability
- and much more ...
Please note that whilst this meetup is free to attend, it cannot provide consultancy or tailored training. Despite saying that, we would hope to at least give you a 'steer' in the right direction or an independent opinion on approaches for your WP site. Remember to please bring a laptop or tablet for best results.
So do you want us to help you get more out of your WordPress site? Then come along and make your WordPress site (even) better!
Mags & Sean are looking forward to you seeing you there :-)
Some roles and stages of organisational maturity require a more detailed working knowledge of open data. If you, your team or your organisation are beyond open data basics, this workshop is for you.
This 2-day workshop includes all of the content from the 1-day workshop but expands on the second day to learning how your organisation can implement open data principles and practices such as developing open data publication processes and standards. Open data procedures ensure maximisation of potential improvements to service delivery and promotion of the aims of open government to make public sector information accessible and transparent for citizens.
This 1-day workshop is designed to meet the needs unique to public sector leaders, senior managers and public, private and third sector data owners. The curriculum supports learning about open data best practices and the internal engagement necessary to support your organisation’s adapting, incorporating and delivering open data best practices as well as unlocking open data benefits.
This half-day training is fast-paced and immersive. It’s ideal for you if you are just discovering the phenomena of open data, its possibilities, challenges and potential benefits. This course is specifically designed for the private sector and NGOs that are newcomers working with public sector organisations or in the open data sector and would like to receive a 360-degree view of the open data field.
This interactive, hands-on workshop is developed for those who participated in the 1-day or 2-day workshops* and who now would like to gain more practical knowledge about working with open data.
The workshop is smaller to allow us to work with you more closely. Attendees must bring their own laptops and cleansed datasets; however, no previous coding or advanced data science knowledge is required.
