Come to the first of our series of talks given by members of the ORG community. We'll be kicking off with a session on Open Data: what local datasets already exist, what's wrong with them and what we can do to help. The talk will be led by Christopher Gutteridge, System, Information and Web programmer, and the founder of data.ac.uk.
Open Data (collected data that is opened to the public for reuse) dovetails the digital evolution of transparency and right to information agenda, both fundamental for citizenship.
There will also be time to talk about the future of ORG Hampshire. We want to organise meetings to protect and support our digital rights and campaign on privacy, free speech, copyright, open data and more.
The meeting is free but any donations to cover the cost of organising it are very welcome.
The venue has disabled access and accessible toilets.
