We'll be hosting produce development sessions and workshops from companies providing technical support, including APIs and sensor kits, as well as exploring topics such as ethics and cybersecurity.

Digital Health Product Forge Hackathon

Join us for Europe's biggest health hackathon where hundreds of health professionals, entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, designers and technologists will be spending 75 hours realising the future of health.

Participants form into teams to rapidly prototype a new digital health concept over the four days of the event. You don't need to bring your own idea, and you don't need to be technical. All you need is the drive and enthusiasm to solve an unsolved problem!

Open to everyone from unlikely innovators to seasoned founders; whether you want to launch a startup, develop a product within an existing organisation, or solve a problem that you have studied at university, this event will leave you equipped will the mindset, teammates and tools for disruption.

Most of our participants won't have met prior to arriving so don't worry if you're coming by yourself! You'll be supported by some of the best minds in health tech, from data scientists, seasoned entrepreneurs and front line NHS staff. Generation Rent Product Forge

The number of people renting in Scotland has doubled over the past ten years. New digital platforms are needed to improve quality of service and dispute resolution. Investors and Policy Makers need tools to support data driven decision making.

Join us for the Generation Rent Product Forge where technical and entrepreneurial minds will collaborate with the sector to develop new ideas that improve the renting experience.

You don’t need to arrive with an idea and you don’t need to be an expert. At our events, you can play a key role no matter your skillset or skill level - you just need to be passionate about making positive change.

You could start by thinking about how to collect, distribute and utilise data to help tenants, landlords, letting agents and local authorities to better log, track and resolve issues. Product Forge will shortly be providing access to various datasets including Shelter Scotland’s web analytics data and Helpline volume data, and housing data from National Records of Scotland.

All participants receive mentoring, 10 free meals and 24 hour access to the venue, and all teams can access support to develop their concept beyond the event.

The 3rd edition of Product Forge is just around the corner, from the 21-23rd November as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week at CodeBase Edinburgh, the UK's largest technology incubator.

At Product Forge you will prototype a new digital product or service such as a mobile or web app or even a data visualisation. The event takes place over 52 hours, and our delegates are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds, including student designers, developers and marketers as well as graduates, freelancers and entrepreneurs. All skill levels are welcome and everyone is free to pitch an idea (but it isn't a requirement).
