For our February event, we welcome Sathpal Singh to talk about social leadership!
---
Description: Leadership comes in many forms.
In this talk I will be sharing my journey into Social Leadership, its potential and how I adopted its mindset and behaviours whilst building and nurturing a knowledge sharing community of engineers across a population 000s in financial services. We are in the Social Age!
This is a 3-part talk to provoke thought and reflection around the changing face and nature of leadership within the context of the Social Age.
As we see our life and work landscape alter drastically as a consequence of the global pandemic the world is crying out for more great social leadership. This talk explains why and outlines what this looks like in theory and practice.
---
Bio: Sath operates at the intersection of Engineering and Agile, with a focus on people, culture and communities. Having started his career as a Software Engineer, Sath has moved from hands-on developer roles into management and leadership and over the last 20 years has experienced numerous industries and delivered a range of programs and products for international clients and global brands.
Sath has a number of voluntary roles over and above his day job in the banking sector and is currently Organiser at Future of Work Scotland, Chair of the BCS Agile Methods group and sits on the CMI Scotland board, as their Communications Lead. He was also an Advisor and Trustee of the Agile20Reflect festival which has now rebranded as Access Agile.

Morning Lean Coffee (http://leancoffee.org/) to discuss your Lean and Agile ideas, challenges and solutions before the workday starts.
This month we a trialling a slightly earlier start time of 7.45 to allow enough time for every to get away and start work after the call. The Zoom call will be open from 7.30.
Everyone is welcome and we usually have a good mix of people from different backgrounds so if you have something you'd like to talk about, or you just want to listen and learn, then please join us.
Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, we will be running this as a Zoom event for the foreseeable future. We also use Lean Coffee Table (https://www.leancoffeetable.com/) to simulate a face-to-face meeting.
Of course, there's no substitute for a Sharpie and a Post-it note but we have found Lean Coffee Table comes a very close second.
Please sign up for a free account and join the board at https://www.leancoffeetable.com/TaskBoard/View/d8bcd3ea-8dd4-4a13-84ed-028de34d8ad5?guest=true before the call.
