Abstract:

• A smart energy grid trained on winter consumption patterns may underperform in summer unless its models are periodically retrained to account for seasonal variations and occasional drift.
• In smart cities, traffic management AI trained on pre-pandemic commuting patterns must adapt to new behavioral shifts caused by increased remote work and changing mobility trends.
• Wearable fitness devices may experience performance drift as users age or modify their routines, requiring continuous model recalibration to deliver accurate health recommendations.
