EVENT DETAILS
18:00 REGISTRATION & NETWORKING
18:15 - 18:20 WELCOME
18:20 - 18:30 Al Bennett (Sensational Systems)
WHIT? (What's Happened in IoT?): A catch up of recent IoT news and developments since the last meetup.
Open Forum: members are invited to make announcements, share news, seek project collaborators, promote their IoT events, and request topics for future Meetups.
18:30 - 18:50 Paul Wealls (ADLINK)
Paul Wealls, ADLINK Product Manager and IoT evangelist, will be discussing the power of machine vision and ADLINK use cases that have delivered numerous benefits to ADLINK customers and partners - Machine Vision palletising, worker safety, agriculture and quality control.
Paul will be sharing insight into the challenges and requirements to be successful with machine vision and how Edge computing enables the technology and customer requirements. There will also be a sneak peek at an exciting new ADLINK product enabling you to learn how to build models and deploy to the device which is scalable and of high quality deployable standard.
19:00 - 19.30 Dave Leitch (Brewnode)
Brewnode is a fully automated brewing system written in Node.JS and running on a Raspberry Pi. The many sensors and actuators necessary to control the process all publish their data to the internet, allowing the brew to be monitored live and subsequently analysed. Dave will explain why and how he decided to build this in his garage. There will be a live brewing session during the talk and hopefully some beer to follow.
19:30 - 21:00 NETWORKING & DRINKS
Chat some more with the group, and hopefully sample Dave's beer!
