Ministry of Testing - Sheffield (ShefTest): Lightning Stories

One of our favourite aspects of running a meetup is meeting new people and hearing stories from them, so we've decided to dedicate a whole evening to it!

We'd particularly like to hear from people about how they got involved with testing, what they've done since, and where they hope to go in future. We hope this would help us select topics for future meetups. We'd also really like to hear from people who don't work full-time in testing, but still do testing as part of their job, or as a hobby!

If anyone has a lightning talk prepared on any software related matters, we'd also love to hear those. If there's time towards the end, possibly some none testing related talks too...

If you've never done a lightning talk before - then why not jump in and have a go? You don't need to be a subject matter expert or a master of public speaking. You can talk about your own ideas or experiences.

Talks should be anything from 99 seconds to a few minutes long. You can use the TV to show slides if you want them, as long as you bring them along on a USB drive or can email them to us in advance so we're ready to go on the night.

---

The rough running order for the evening will be:

6:30 - Doors open
7:00 - Some stories
7:30 - Break and food
7:45 - Some more stories!
8:15 - Leg stretch
8:30 - Head off to a local pub for networking and such.

Big thanks to our sponsors - U Account for keeping us fed and watered, and Tech Parks for letting us use their wonderful meeting space! And Ministry of Testing for just existing and being awesome.
