After a short hiatus of 6 weeks or so, we're back! We've made a lot of changes behind the scenes for future meetups so we're itching to get going again.
Firstly we now have a permanent home! We're going to be hosted by the Sheffield Technology Parks from now on. They're doing a lot for tech meetups in Sheffield at the moment, so be sure to check them out and see if any of the other meetups they host peak your interest.
Secondly we now have a permanent-ish date! We're going to be holding events on the first Wednesday of every month.
Thirdly we have our first permanent sponsor (other than the Minstry of Testing of course). U Account has been a long time supporter of ShefTest and we're very happy to have them on board permently. They'll be providing us with a budget for food & drinks. They're currently recruiting for just about every role you can think of, so if you're interested check them out or collar one of the many ShefTest regulars who work there! www.uaccount.uk
This month we're covering the most popular topic from our Lean Coffee event earlier in the year - Automation & Tools & Stuff.
The rough running order for the evening will be:
6:30 - Doors open
7:00 - First Talk
7:30 - Break and food
7:45 - Second Talk
8:15 - More food and that
8:30 - Head off to a local pub for networking and such.
Talk One: Jason Roy - Intro to Jenkins API and Jarvis
Talk Two: Adam Gask - Getting Started with iOS Accessibility to Supercharge Your Testing
Making your iOS apps accessible can seem more complicated than it needs to be. But, by following a few practical tips and tricks in this talk you can provide a great user experience for everyone and expand your test coverage by harnessing the power of native UI Tests.
As always, if you'd like to sponsor, host or speak at a future event then please do get in touch! And don't forget to keep an eye on the Meetup page or on www.twitter.com for details of upcoming events.
