After the vote against the new European Copyright rules in the European Parliament the issue will return to MEPs to discuss in September after the summer recess. Julia Reda MEP for the European Pirate Party has suggested a #SaveYourInternet action day on Sunday 26th August. Let's discuss ORG national and local plans for this.

Also lets plan some outreach to the university students around Digital Rights for when term restarts in October, e.g. a CryptoParty? We need a venue and some speakers.
Join us in our monthly meetup to discuss: the current state of digital rights, what we've done in the past month, and what we are planning to do in the upcoming months (local events to attend or events we organise). Maybe a member will give a short (15 - 30 minute) briefing on a topical subject at the beginning of the meeting (e.g. on UK / international legislation, topical privacy or security things such as, say, leaks of medical records).
