Event is for information only - for latest updates and to book tickets go to orgcon.openrightsgroup.org

ORGCon runs over 2 days: day 1 is a conference at Friends House opposite London Euston Station, details below. Day 2 (venue TBC) will focus on digital rights activism (planning campaigns, developing ORG's local groups in the UK) but there will also be talks from key experts.

Day 1 will include talks from a range of experts on digital threats that we face and how we can challenge them. Confirmed so far:

Comedian Graham Linehan will talk to journalist Helen Lewis about whether we are living in a dystopia.

Civic hacker and Taiwan’s Digital Minister in charge of Social Enterprise, Audrey Tang will talk about how the Internet and democracy are the same thing in Taiwan.

ORG's Legal Director Myles Jackman and feminist porn producer Pandora Blake will discuss the impact on the Digital Economy Act on our sexual freedom and why porn is the canary in the coalmine when it comes to freedom of expression.

Professor Noel Sharkey of Robot Wars fame will outline his concerns about the growth of the 'killer robot' industry and what needs to happen in order to prevent it from changing policing and democracy.

How do we stop extremists from sharing propaganda online? Writer and Director at Demos Jamie Bartlett will look at how radical groups use the Internet to further their causes.
