Ministry of Testing - Sheffield (ShefTest): ShefTest - Social Engineering

Suddenly July is upon is... It's time for another Test Gathering!

Still riding the wave of SteelCon, security is at the front of everybody's mind right now. We know all about securely creating and storing passwords. And the importance of firewalls, input sanitation and 'Little Bobby Tables'. Some of us might even know all about SSL, TLS, SNI and RSA... But what about the most complex and yet most vulnerable bit of any computer system? The organic component that pushes the buttons!

At this month's meetup we'll be exploring some of the different methods that certain unsavoury characters might use to get you to part with your precious passwords. And Razor's very own unsavoury character, Gabriel 'Gabz t3h h4kzor' McNeilly will be demonstrating some of his favourites.

Upstairs in the Rutland as usual. Doors at 6:30pm. Talk kicks off at 7. Hopefully followed by beers and lively debate.

Hope to see you there.
