Stuart Herbert is a highly experienced software engineer, technical leader and manager who explores his professional and personal passions through teaching, talks, and writing. His passions are for good engineering, good leadership & management, Linux, web-based applications (and PHP in particular), photography, walking, and T'ai Chi Ch'uan.

Stuart has contributed to several open-source projects since the early 1990's, most notably Storyplayer, HubFlow, Gentoo Linux and Generic NQS.

Stuart is well known UK-wide for his unique talks. He's going to create a brand new one just for us and thanks to your feedback he will talk about: Five Patterns For Improving Application Robustness

We'll finish up with questions for Stuart and discussions, then head across the road to Footlights for drinks

Getting to the room within the venue

There are two ways into Codebase. You want to find the one at the top of the hill (and NOT the one at the bottom with Codebase written on it, very confusing we know!).

Go to the blue arrow on the map.

You will see the upper entrance. Go in here, then take the lift to Floor L.

Someone will greet you on floor L.
