Stencils are a great tool for any art and crafter, they can be used in decorating walls, furniture, clothing and just about anything. Cutting out your own can be pretty tedious and delicate work with a knife, but a laser cutter can carve the finest of details in just seconds from tough reusable mylar film, or one off paper and card.
This workshop will take you through turning your computer artwork and drawings into stencils that you can take with you and decorate, ticket price includes all materials and machining costs, you will take home at least one mylar reusable stencil and one cardboard disposable one.
The event is open to members and non-members alike, no previous experience is required. You may like to bring your own laptop to work on your designs during the workshop, we suggest using the OpenSource Inkscape software.
