Ministry of Testing - Sheffield (ShefTest): Load Testing with K6

Most of us will have heard of, or used, the popular load testing tool JMeter. JMeter has it's uses and is incredibly mature but it also it's quirks; is there a better, more modern, alternative out there?

For this months meetup, Gareth Squires will be walking us through his recent experiences of using K6, an open-source, Javascript based load testing tool from the team behind Load Impact. He's been using it to load test web applications and Web APIs at 3Squared over the past couple of months. He'll walk through the highs and lows, and the teams efforts to improve re-usability by converting existing API tests from Postman.

Tune in:

Wednesday October 7th. Zoom. Room opens 6:30pm. Talks begin at 7.
