Edinburgh UX meetup: Edinburgh UX monthly meetup

This meetup will take place online via Zoom, starting at 6.30pm.

If you're new to the group and/or would like to meet up for a chat beforehand I'll be around from 6pm onwards, so please feel free to drop in and say Hello.

This month we are delighted to welcome not one, but two fantastic speakers - Matthew Carter & Bobby King.

Matthew is a Design Thinker at the Satellite Applications Catapult, where as part of the user centred design team he helps de-risk and make usable innovations utilising Satellite Technology. Prior to joining the SACatapult, he published a book and completed a MEng in Hardware Product Design Engineering. Matthew will be giving us a (very brief) crash course on Satellites, before going on to talk about some applications he's been working at the SACatapult.

Bobby is a Freelance User Researcher and Designer at haver.scot and serial Glasgow Meetup organiser. Bobby will be explaining why we need to use code to design interactions and test them on users. He'll offer a set of techniques for building UX prototypes using basic HTML and CSS, and suggest how we might create our own design system using accessible patterns.
