STEM Ambassador Info Session

Information for those interested in helping others by becoming a STEM Ambassador and CodeBase Stirling mentor.

STEM Ambassadors work with young people to bring STEM subjects alive through real life experiences. They are volunteers aged 17 and upwards, representing a vast range of STEM-related jobs across the UK. Our Ambassadors include apprentices, zoologists, set designers, climate change scientists, engineers, farmers, geologists, nuclear physicists and architects.

At CodeBase Stirling, we run a full digital skills programme for young people, including LevelUp, Digital Skills for Girls, Prewired and Bring Your Own Grown Up. Although events have moved online, we still need mentors to support the learning of young people. This session is purely for information about what's involved in the mentor programme.

Mentors help to open the doors to a world of opportunities and possibilities which come from pursuing STEM subjects and careers.

They not only inspire young people; they also support teachers in the classroom by explaining current applications of STEM in industry or research.
