Lean Agile Edinburgh: Sue Stockdale - Polar Explorer - How to motivate your team in a week

Highly relevant at the moment is team motivation. We're delighted and privileged to have Sue Stockdale, adventurer, coach, speaker and author join us to share her experiences.

In an extreme environment like the Arctic, if your team does not pull together, collaborate and look out for one another, the consequences could be drastic. Sue will talk about a Greenland expedition where she joined individuals from Norway and Germany to create a high performing team in a short space of time. Sue will explain how to motivate your team for success, how to overcome challenges, and the seven simple steps that can be accomplished in a week to help a team be motivated and focused.

In 1994 Sue Stockdale became the first British woman to ski to the Magnetic North Pole. She has represented Scotland in athletics, participated in Channel 4’s Superhuman, led and participated in expeditions to Greenland, Antarctica, Chile, and is a patron for Ski4Cancer. Today Sue is an inspirational speaker and leadership coach to FTSE 250/Fortune 500 companies, elite sport, fast growth businesses and charities worldwide. She has authored several books on leadership and recently launched The Access to Inspiration www.accesstoinspiration.org podcast series.
